Heat 1 So Sunday race day came and went very fast, and it was a day of highs and lows. Arriving at the track I knew it was going to be a dry day meaning the competition and pace was going to be very fast. Lining up for heat 1 I was starting first in class row 6 position 12, coming into heat 1 I knew being on the outside into Conway's (turn 1) it would be very difficult to hold position as it is a wider line, and you are also on the outside into harpin 1. as the heat starting I tried my best to move over to the right hand side but before I had a chance, we barrelled into turn one and as a normal first racing lap goes I got pushed wide into a barrier with 2 other karts while I stayed moving by the time I had recovered I was way at the back of the pack and with it only being 8 minute heats I was out of a good point scoring position. I did what I could and my pace was bang on for the rest of the race but was too far back to recover. Finishing position 15th down 3 spots fastest lap 48.256

Heat 2 was looking to be a great result in terms of making a statement. I lined up p14 in this heat and had the inside line. As the race began, we all barrelled into turn 1 and I did what I knew I needed to and stayed tight to the inside line made up 1 spot and then coming up into harpin 1 I was able to go up the inside of 1 other karts leaving me up 2 positions. This left me p3 in class ahead of 2 other drivers from class 2 so it was going to be a podium finish for me, the last lap came around and I was slowly being caught by a driver behind as we came into Conway's and then flying down to harpin 1 I moved to the inside to cover off any attacking moves thinking id force the driver behind to take the slower outside line. Unfortunately, the driver behind has completely out broke himself lost the rear of his kart and smashed into the rear of my kart spinning me into the wall and out of the race. By the time I had recovered I had dropped from p12-p17. this was looking to be a great stamen but was let down by the driving standards of others. Non the less I walked away from it head high trying to see what I could’ve done differently and clearing my head space for the final heat. Finishing position 17th down 2 spots fastest lap 47.748

heat 3 was a relatively uneventful heat starting last in class on the left hand side I had the row to myself to be able to move over to the inside line and try make up some positions. I was able to make up 1 spot and then settle into the race from there. I managed to stay hooked to the back of the main pack making up another 2 positions in the race leaving me in a relatively decent position. Finishing position 15th up 3 spots fastest lap 48.096.
